Hi! My name is Erik Summer and I love to take pictures. You can find me living my best life in Perrysburg, Ohio with my wonderful husband of eleven+ years (Mark) and our beagle dog (Angel). I love seeing places and experiences through my camera lens. I'm naturally drawn to the freethinkers, the creatives, the people who know we aren't meant to live in a box, and those who dare to accomplish their dreams. A personal dream of mine is to work with cosplayers, performers, and anyone who wants to achieve a truly unique moment and capture it.
I grew up in the military and spent a lot of my formative years overseas developing an appreciation for how diverse our world truly is. My path to being a photographer was also diverse but I have worked in a lot of relevant fields over the years including a portrait studio, entertainment and events for two major theme parks, and retail design. One day I asked myself what truly made me happy and what all these different jobs had in common and the answer was so simple - I love being creative and interacting with a world that's pulsating with energy. Capturing and creating memories just spoke to me and helped me put what I value into focus.
It might be a cliche quote but the saying "Life is like photography you need the negatives to develop" is so true. I have gone through a lot of personal growth In my life that has helped shape me into a better human being as well as a mental health advocate and LGBTQIA+ supporter. Believe me when I say no matter what your idea is, how you present yourself, what you're celebrating, or what you want to showcase to everyone I can take that picture and help you bring that into focus.
