My husband and I took the chance to go visit his aunt and her family in Toronto during pride month and while it was a very short trip we greatly enjoyed ourselves. The first shots are from The Buddies In Bad Times Theatre House which is famous for being the largest and longest running queer theater company in the world. The drag group pictured are The B-Girlz and the event was the annual Homo Night In Canada. The other pictures are interesting street art I found while wandering the city. Most of the photographs shown were taken with my camera but a few are cell phone pictures.
Photographing performers while they're in action is always a favorite activity of mine. It's a unique challenge to capture a moment while showcasing the energy and passion of the performers while not missing a blink and it's gone once in a lifetime shot. If you ever get to Toronto I highly recommend checking out all the diversity in the city as well as the great arts and theater community that is vibrant there.
